Damaged and Lost Item Fees
In 2021, at the direction of the County Board of Supervisors to update the fee schedule, Library staff conducted a study of the amount of staff time it takes to process damaged and lost Library materials. As a result of this process, the County is instituting $5 lost item fee and $10 damaged item handling fee. When items are returned in good condition, the fees should be removed. Additionally, no late fees are being charged for items turned in late.

You can pay your fees by cash or check at any of the Mendocino County Library branches. You can also pay your fees online using a credit or debit card.
