Hiking Backpacks

Explore the great outdoors with our new collection of hiking backpacks! Each backpack contains useful tools to help you on your next hiking journey. Available at all branches. Borrowers must have Mendocino general (mg) cards in good standing “owing $20.00 or less.”

Hiking Backpacks:

• Have a 21-day check-out period.
• Are available at all branches on a first-come, first-serve availability basis.
• Are not requestable, and cannot be put on hold.
• Must be returned directly to the front desk at any Mendocino County Library branch.
• Will not be accepted through the book returns.
• Patron will be charged for loss or damage of specific items: backpack; binoculars; wildlife guide; wildflower guide; waterproof pouches; trekking poles.

Each Hiking Backpack contains:

• 1 black backpack
• 1 Bushnell binoculars
• 1 CA Wildlife Folding Pocket Guide
• 1 CA Trees & Wildflower Guide
• 3-pack waterproof pouches
• 1 set of trekking poles

How do I get started?

Call or go into your local branch - hiking backpacks are available at all branches on a first-come, first-serve availability basis.
