WiFi Hotspots
What are WiFi Hotspot Packs?
WiFi Hotspot Packs consist of a free WiFi hotspot, case, adapter, charger and quick start guide. These hotspot packs are available to Mendocino County Library patrons.
Mendocino County Library cardholders must meet the following conditions to checkout a hotspot:
- Patron must meet the unmet educational needs portion of the user agreement to borrow a Hotspot.
- Borrowers must have Mendocino general (mg) cards in good standing “owing $20.00 or less.”
- Borrowers must be adults – 18 years old or older.
- Children and Teens must have an adult (parent/legal guardian) check out a Hotspot for them using the adult's library card. The adult must be responsible for the child's use.
- Teens may bring or print out the slip for their parents to review, initial, and sign in the parent permission area. The teen can sign as Borrower when checking the device out. Parent may cancel this permission at any time – please date and note this on permission slip.
- All patrons must follow the Mendocino County Library Internet Use and Guidelines when using a library hotspot.
WiFi Hotspot Packs:

- WiFi Hotspot Packs are available at ALL branches on a first-come, first-serve availability basis.
- WiFi Hotspot Packs are not requestable and cannot be put on hold. Mendo Hotspot Packs can be checked out for 28 days.
- Hotspots must be picked up and returned directly to staff at the branch where checked out; they may not be placed in the book drop.
- Hotspots must be returned after the 28 days, and there is a 24 hour waiting period before a Hotspot may be checked out again.
- Patron will be charged for any damage, missing parts, or loss of hotspots.
