The California State Library in partnership with ProQuest, part of Clarivate, is pleased to announce the California K12 Online Content Project’s recent purchase of Performing Arts Collections providing access, at no local cost, to leading content in Dance, Music, and Theatre, to all California Public Schools and Public Libraries!

The California K12 Online Content Project has chosen a truly remarkable and diverse collection of Music, Dance and Theatre content, covering hundreds of genres and a wide range of content types, from instruction to performance. Leading content providers include the National Theatre, Royal Shakespeare Company, Qwest TV, Smithsonian, L.A. Theatre Works, Broadway On-Demand, and many more.


Get Started:

You will need internet access to use Alexander Street. Collections are streaming only and are not available for download.

  1. Go to the Alexander Street website.
  2. It will ask you to find your institution; search for Mendocino County Library and select it. (If you don't see the login screen, you may already be logged in!)
  3. Type in your library card number and Log In.
  4. You are signed in! Click the Menu to browse the My Collections section.
  5. You can also directly access the Video Collection; sign in through Mendocino County Library and your library card number. (If you see "Access Provided by Mendocino County Library" at the top of the screen, you are already logged in.)
