What is Hoopla Digital?
Hoopla Digital is a streaming service that allows Mendocino County Library cardholders to borrow audiobooks, movies, music, comics, ebooks, and television shows and immediately begin watching, listening or reading. Hoopla Digital is available on the web and as a downloadable app for most mobile devices and smart TVs. The Hoopla Digital website and mobile app can be browsed by anyone; but you need a Mendocino General library card in good standing to borrow items. Limited use or online cards will not work with Hoopla.
Unlike books or Overdrive items that our patrons borrow, all Hoopla Digital titles are simultaneous use so there are no holds or waiting for a title.
- Hoopla Digital is FREE to Mendocino County Library general cardholders (library card number and a valid email address are all that are required).
- You can use the Hoopla website/app and the Find catalog to search for books, movies, television shows, and music.
- Items are available in several languages, including Spanish. Los artículos están disponibles en varios idiomas, incluido el español.
- BingePasses make it easy to stream collections of premium content with just one borrow, including magazines, eBooks, videos, and more for seven days.
- Kids Mode provides a digital media experience designed especially for kids up to age 12. This is a feature that should be used with parental guidance. To use Kids Mode, tap or click the KIDS icon at the top of the Hoopla website or app. You can require a PIN to unlock Kids Mode.
