Archives unbound

Archives Unbound is a database that offers topically focused digital collections of historical documents that support the research and study needs of scholars and students.

Archives Unbound presents history in a whole new light, and is a primary document database consisting of over 100 collections, including 290,000 documents totaling 12 million pages. Individual titles in the collection range between 1,200 and 200,000 pages.

  • The more you know your topic (names, places, dates, events) the more productive your searching will be.
  • Scanned primary documents such as letters, memos, FBI surveillance reports, treaties, etc.
  • Suitable for History, Political Science, Latin American Studies, Asian Studies, Religion, Anthropology and Sociology research
  • Topic coverage is diverse, and includes American civil rights movement, European and American colonialism, evangelism around the world, Vietnam War
