What Are Libby/OverDrive Magazines?

A collection of over 3000 digital magazines from across the U.S. and around the world available on our OverDrive site and the Libby app. OverDrive is the leading digital reading site for libraries and schools worldwide. Overdrive/Libby never closes with 24-hour access. Magazine checkouts don’t count against checkout limits set for other items in OverDrive/Libby app. Explore nuestra colección de revistas en español.

All items automatically return themselves, so there are never any late fees.

Loan period: Magazines checkout for 7 days. You can always checkout the magazine again.

Checkout limit: Unlimited checkouts for magazines.

• Streamlined access to the "Magazine Rack" in the Shelf section on Libby.
• Subscribe to magazines and automatically checkout the newest issues using the "Subscribe" button on Libby.

Please note: Magazines are not automatically downloaded to Libby for offline use. You can manually choose which issues to download.

Get Started:

1. Have your library card ready (Don't have one? No problem! Check out our eCard registration page)
2. Go to to the Overdrive website or download the Libby app.
3. Sign in with your library card number and PIN.
4. Browse magazine titles and click "Open Magazine" when you're ready to read.
5. You can also "Subscribe" to a magazine and you will automatically checkout the newest issues.
6. Borrowed magazines will show up in your Bookshelf in the Magazine Rack section.
